What must I do to be saved?
Realise that you are a sinner.
"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. (Romans 3:verse 10)". "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:verse 23) KJV
Realise that you face Judgement.
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this The Judgement". So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is The Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of thos things which were written in the books according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. and whosoever was not found written the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Realise that you cannot save yourself.
"But we are all as unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;...""Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us,..." (Titus 3:verse 5) (Isaiah 64:verse 6)
Realise that Jesus died on the cross in Your place.
"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness..." "...unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," (1 Peter 2:verse 24) KJV (Revelation 1:verse 5)
Have faith...in Jesus Christ
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to becom the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"(John 1:12) "... sirs, what must I do to be saved"(Acts 16:30) "And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life".(John 3:16)
Salvation is trusting and receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour. It is trusting in the fact that Jesus Christ died ont he cross of Calvary, to pay for your sins! It's realizing that there is absolutely nothing what-so-ever YOU can do to save yourself and completely trusting in jesus Christ to save you! It's not any church that saves. It isn't baptism, not your good works, not sacraments, not repenting, not praying through...not enduring to the end, not living a good life...
